"Chichiguao", is how the Taino people called the yellow village weaver (ploceus cucullatus). This design is inspired by a petroglyph found in Pigeons Cave located in Comerío, Puerto Rico. This cave is surrounded by rivers, canyons and depressions. Endangered species like the plain pigeon (patagioenas inornata) and the Puerto Rican boa (chilabothrus inornatus) have made this tropical forest their home. The placement of the design alludes to the Solar Plexus chakra and the color yellow corresponds to this as well.
