Meet  Guabonito the "behique", her pronouns are (she/they), and her name aludes to the first Taino medicine woman named, Guabonito (considered an avatar of the universal mother, Atabey; this medicine woman taught Guahayona the secrets power of the plants which he later taught to the tribe).  As the behique (medicine woman/shaman) of her tribe, Guabonito is considered that channel that connects the human world with the spiritual world.  Through altered states of consciousness, she can connect with the zemi spirits (ancestor and nature spirits) and for see the future.  On her staff you can see a snake familiar which gives her messages from Mother Earth and with these messages she does spells and incantations to help the people in the tribe.  She was considered "hijo de Corocote" at birth for having two spirals on the top of her head, but she later came into her own identity as a Two Spirit woman with the help of Atabey (Mother Earth).  Don't let her appearance fool you, her magic knows no bounds.
