Meet Atabey the Universal Mother, her pronouns are (she/her).  She is considered to be the universal Mother for having birthed the zemi Yokahú (Sky Father and Lord of the Yuca) and having the power to control all the waters of the world (be it rivers, lakes or oceans).  She manifests throughout Taino mythology through various avatars such as Caguana (Turtle Woman), Guabancex (Mother of Storms), Guabonito (woman behique), etc.  This avatar of Atabey has healing abilities and has the power to talk to plants, animals, elementals, crystals, humans and spirits.  She has the power to enlarge anything in her dominion and she uses this power to enlarge healing plants so that the behique can make more medicine for the tribe.  On her chest you can see two red tobacco flowers, a sacred plant of the Taino people.  She has as a skirt a yuca leaf and on her hand she holds an enlarged arrowroot leaf, another sacred plant used for medicine.  On top of her head she has a couple of stamen surrounded by her voluminous green hair.  With those stamen, she psychically connects with anything she wants.

Se le considera la Madre universal por haber dado a luz al cemí Yokahú (Padre Celestial y Señor de la Yuca) y tener el dominio sobre todas las aguas del mundo (sean ríos, lagos u océanos). Ella se manifiesta a lo largo de la mitología taína a través de varios avatares como Caguana (Mujer Tortuga), Guabancex (Madre de las Tormentas), Guabonito (mujer behique), etc. Este avatar de Atabey tiene habilidades curativas y tiene el poder de hablar con plantas, animales, elementales, cristales, humanos y espíritus. Ella tiene el poder de agrandar cualquier cosa en su dominio y usa este poder para agrandar las plantas curativas para que el behique pueda hacer más medicina para la tribu. En su pecho se pueden apreciar dos flores rojas de tabaco, planta sagrada del pueblo taíno. Tiene como falda una hoja de yuca y en su mano sostiene una hoja agrandada de yuquilla, otra planta sagrada que se usa como medicina.  En la parte superior de su cabeza tiene un par de estambres rodeados por su voluminoso cabello verde. Con esos estambres, se conecta psíquicamente con todo lo que ella quiera comunicarse.
