The Taino community settled near rivers and traveled them.  The rivers were alive, they held spiritual power. That reverance is reflected in their ancestral teachings and the art left on river rocks.  This petroglyph is found in the river Icacos that runs through the only tropical rain forest in North America, el Yunque.
